Being Confident

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you need endurance, so that you may receive what is promised when you have done God’s will. For, “Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay; but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those that shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.
— Hebrews 10:35-39

People who exhibit self-confidence radiate passion, conviction, and strength; it does more to your looks than any designer cloth or accessories. When people realize who they are and their purpose, they may be dressed in low-cost wares but look elegant and stand out from the crowd.

Confident people are not afraid to be their real selves, whether they are simple or flamboyant and plain or fabulous; what's important is they know who they are. They have a deeper understanding of their gifts and the fact that they contribute to the world, at this place and time – because they are the light of the world. They are free to be themselves, free to share their interests, belief, and taste.

This means you stretch and step out like you; if you ought to be at the forefront, be there, don't move back even if it's a little. Any gift you are blessed with, be the best you can be and expand your skills. Celebrate your gifts, experiences, and wins God has given to you.

When you know your value and worth, confidence begins to spring up, inspiring you to live into the benevolent calling of God for your life. Real confidence radiates from realizing that you are precious. And when you realize that you're super valuable in God's sight, you can come to Him with confidence. Your confidence isn't fully self-confidence at all; it is confidence in an all-knowing, ever-present, all-powerful, loving, and just God.

Jeremiah 29:11

To achieve any goal or take any action consistent with the plan of God for your life, you have to place your confidence in God, knowing that the thought He has for you is for good and not of evil

A Christian's confidence is not loud, boastful, nor filled with pride. It's most times, gentle, humble, quiet, and very powerful. Someone like you who has a message to share with the world, someone like you who's unique, must always radiate confidence. Words have power; learn how to speak to yourself; you're a royal priesthood. So never compare yourself with someone else or call yourself fowl names.

Prayer:

Father, I want to take you for your grace and your mercies upon my life. I now understand that I am the light of the world, the salt of the earth, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, joint heir with Christ Jesus and your child. Help me to always trust in you, In Jesus Name, Amen.
